I am an Occupational Therapist who practiced in pediatrics for many years in hospitals, out-patient clinics, private practice and as a school consultant.
In 1991 I graduated with a MPH in Maternal and Child Health and worked fas Project Director for 3 years on an MCH Sprans Grant called The Mainstreaming Project at San Diego State Univeristy Foundation.
In 1995 I started a pilot program to include children and youth with disabilities in a large community center in a major city. In 1997 I co-founded an organization called Kids Included Together (KIT) in San Diego and worked in nearly every capacity while employed at KIT. I am now doing project consulting for them and have a small private practice.
I have a doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of San Diego and did my dissertation on organizational change in regard to the inclusion of individuals with disabilities. During that process I developed a survey tool called the Organizational Development of Inclusion for Individuals with Disabilities (ODMI- IWD) which has since then been revised and just recently was written about.
