Julie Ferko joins ABC Pediatric Therapy as a CBRS therapist. She has a broad range of experience working with children with mild to severe developmental delays, but her specialty encompasses children on the Autism Spectrum. Her four years experience includes children with Down’s Syndrome, Mental Retardation, Cerebral Palsy, Aphasia/Apraxia, hearing/visually impaired, and language delays. In addition, she has provided intensive therapy to children with a variety of disorders and syndrome’s, to include, but not limited to, Fragile X, Angelman, Fetal Alcohol, Dandy Walker, Microcephaly, Hydrocephalus, Prader-Willi, Tay-Sachs, and Tuberous Sclerosis. Julie incorporates a variety of techniques, strategies and interventions such as ABA/VBA, TEACCH, play/floortime therapy, sensory integration, sign language, PECs, and visual stories. She has widespread knowledge in child development, Autism interventions, detoxification and nutrition. She holds a Master’s of Education, and is dual certified as a Teacher and Early Interventionist.
